Engineering.

BE A DEVELOPER, DESIGNER AND INNOVATOR.

BENEFIT NOT ONLY FROM HIGH PRECISION BUT WITH UNLIMITED OPENNESS.

Protecting knowledge is not an advantage, but a disadvantage! Because it loses value faster and faster if it cannot be consumed when it is needed. Providing solutions that are not tied to time and place – that is the competitive advantage in this dynamic and networked world. We open all sources of our production facilities and invite you to cooperate.

In addition to software sources, design data, interfaces of all kinds, this includes specialist knowledge from the areas of development, production, application and support. The data are open to everyone.

Häcker Automation stands for trusting cooperation on an equal footing! Our understanding: Common knowledge increases quality, creates an inexhaustible variety of products and offers a wide range of value creation opportunities. In the future you will benefit from a steadily growing pool of information and interactive offers.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE IS AN ADVANTAGE.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION in LEGO STYLE

MICROCELL ARCHITECTURE

“Digitization will produce winners faster than the losers know they are losers,” warns Prof. Frank Piller of RWTH Aachen University. There are still enough people who don’t want to take the fourth industrial revolution seriously enough.

And so I have just returned from a research trip to Switzerland. Once again, many new digital achievements were launched as part of the relevant research projects and German industry associations. All really spectacular. “All we have to do now is find someone who has a real problem with it,” I can still hear the VDMA officer saying.

German mechanical engineering goes digital. So the question arises as to whether, with all the great digital solutions and offerings, we haven’t already reached the goal of future-proof mechanical engineering? The simple answer is: “NO, not at all!”.

If we want to move mechanical engineering in Central Europe into the fourth industrial age together, we can learn a lot from LEGO style. You want to know HOW? Feel free to check out our video podcast on the topic.

Our Concept

There is no alternative to the high-precision manufacturing systems from Häcker Automation when it comes to automating complex and multi-layered processes. A perfectly tailored model is available for every phase of your process.

Do you want to move your product from the test stage to production? – No problem! Thanks to standardized interfaces, independent function modules and easy configuration of the systems, adaptation to changing requirements is easily possible.

AUTOMATION AND OPEN INTERFACES

Do you want to know how processing heads and modules are connected mechanically and electrically? Or what data logging options does the systems offer? The Interface Manual offers answers to these and many other questions.

OPEN SOURCE: Your FAQ

Data access
How do you get access to the open source data?
On the HOME - Mikromontage Shop page, extensive data is available for each product. This data pool is based on Gitlab and is growing steadily. Gitlab also enables common work on modules. Further information will be published here soon.
Scope of application
Does the open source approach only refer to modules or as well as to Häcker Automation's machines ?
The sources of Häcker Automation's machines are well as are freely accessible.
Hardware and software implementation
Is it possible to develop hardware and software tools independently and to implement them?
Basically, it is possible. For independent hardware and software development, a corresponding qualification according to the Häcker Automation developer program is necessary For security and liability reasons, we recommend a fee-based validation of your development by our technicians. For security and liability reasons, we recommend a fee-based validation of your development by our technicians.
Interfaces and information
In addition to the electrical, mechanical and software-based interfaces, the following product information that are copyrighted by Häcker Automation are freely accessible:
- Tec. drawings - Operating manual - Maintenance instructions - Circuit, fluid and pneumatic plans - Declaration of Conformity - Spare and wear parts list - Parts list Information on other products and products that are based on cooperation with a partner require a separate request.
Commercial use
What are the limits to commercial use?
The following must be taken into consideration for commercial and non-commercial use. Non-commercial use or personal use is free of charge. Commercial use requires a royality-bearing license: A sale of the product is only possible through Häcker Automation due to liability and certification. The copyright and license law must always be respected: In case the development is based on a source from Häcker Automation, this must be clearly indicated in any case. Häcker Automation licenses are non-infecting open source licenses: The developers of new products based on our sources are not forced to publish this development as open source.
