Funding projects

The project aim is to develop a highly modular system which connects and interacts cross-vendor components. An architecture that is based on microservices and the clustering of these cellsThe goal shall be implemented. Achieving this objective, innovative and industry 4.0 compliant, real-time capable and event-driven communication technologies have to be selected and integrated.
These approaches tend to make the system inconsistent and vulnerable. To counteract this, technologies must be integrated that make the system robust and reliable and protect against cyberattacks. For the mutual cross-vendor integration of components a close cooperation with our partners is necessary and also a standardization of the results.
Häcker Automation will demonstrate prototypically that newly developed production processes can run on different production plants with components from our partners.

Tooling machines do not have sufficient intelligence for consistently autonomous production. Process control is required for autonomous production, but there are no suitable embedded sensor systems.  Current process monitoring systems often consist of several components, are hardly to integrate into the machine, not real-time capable and expensive. The aim of the project is to increase the intelligence of tooling machines by integrating an embedded multi-sensor system in the tool holder trough:
    •    Miniaturisation, because of consistent use of 3D electronics 
    •    Autonomous, because of wireless energy transfer to the tool holder 
    •    Decentralization, because of automated signal analysis at the point of origin 
A integrated data processing in the tool holder which directly generates process information for the machine. The system lays the foundation for process monitoring and control in an intelligent tooling machine.

The StarJet technology developed as part of this collaborative project at the Institute of Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg will be optimized as a method for electrical contacting. The joint development work will tailor this non-contact, digital and flexible process to the requirements of microelectronics and smart system integration. In order to bring the StarJet technology from the laboratory stage into industrial environments, the optimization of the user-friendliness and the robustness is another essential part of this project.

The BMBF-funded project serves to create integrated software tools for the development, design and operation of micro assembly systems. The aim is to develop a description system for micro-assembly tasks, which is followed by a requirement specification generator. Based on these tools, further tools will be developed, which include, for example, a plant configurator and a capacity planning portal. The interdisciplinary cooperation of the partners creates a unique tool for the description and intensified and, above all, networked use of the far-reaching potential of modular system concepts in microassembly.
